Crystal refinement One iPr group was found to be disordered over two positions (occupancy factors: 0.68/0.32). one n-pentane molecules per asymmetric unit are severely disordered. They were refined by using a solvent mask which was calculated by Olex2, and 166 electrons were found in a volume of 808 ų in one void per unit cell. This is consistent with the presence of 4 n-pentane molecules which account for 168 electrons per unit cell. Although these solvent atoms were not included in the refinement model they are included in the formula and in the calculation of the formula weight, density, μ, F(000), etc. As 6 was crystallized from n-pentane this serves as evidence for the presence of n-pentane in these positions, though they proved to be severely disordered
